On bad advice our builder installed a no brand/cheap built in shower mixer in our new bathroom 5 years ago. It has stopped working - and the water is almost impossible to adjust to the right temperature - and changes temp when other taps in the house are turned on/off. We have been told that...

First time novice, I thought I had a problem with my shower pump as the flow was much lower than normal. Pure coincidence but this happened just after I had my H/W cylinder replaced. My shower is gravity feed from the H/W cylinder and a separate C/W tank, both located in the loft. I only have...

We have a shower on a gravity fed system that isn't quite powerful enough to provide an acceptable flow. Don't need a power shower, just a relatively modest increase in pressure. As an alternative to a full size shower pump, has anyone had experience of installing/using the Floflex SP2B In-Line...

Hi, I'm about to buy a thermostatic shower and decided on the Hansgrohe Crometta 240. On Amazon this has hundreds of good reviews and believe the brand has a good reputation and build quality, so would be a good choice. However, I've just viewed a YouTube video by a plumber installing and...

I ordered a McAlpine 90mm x 50mm shower trap for my walk-in shower. The base will be 18mm ply with the shower tray bedded in mortar on top. I don't think the threads of the top half of the trap are going to reach the threads of the bottom half when I assemble everything. I really need more...

I am ready to waterproof my walk-in shower ready for tiling. The walls are Aquapanel sheets fitted to stud walls, joined with Aquapanel adhesive, and the base is 18mm marine ply screwed to joists. I'm looking at the Mapei shower waterproofing kit from Screwfix. Got a few questions... Should I...

I have a traditional British bathroom sink with 2 separate taps for cold and hot water. I need a bridge mixer tap for it. The problem is I only seem to find ones with 180mm tap connection centres, while mine needs 200mm. IS there hope?

Hi all. It’s been a while since fitting a bath for a customer but I’m looking for some solid recommendations if possible. I know they all look similar but don’t want anything squeaking when it’s stood in. Cheers.

I have what appears to be a little used bath taps/mixer with shower outlet, without connecting it all up, I notice the collar that obviously diverts the flow to a shower head, does not stay in place when pushed down. Would this be different when connected and with water pressure, or is it...
