Antaeus (; Ancient Greek: Ἀνταῖος Antaîos, lit. "opponent", derived from ἀντάω, antao – 'I face, I oppose'), known to the Berbers as Anti, was a figure in Berber and Greek mythology. He was famed for his defeat by Heracles as part of the Labours of Hercules.
I am trying to fit an anti-rodent valve ARB-1 to a MacFit MAC-1 WC pan connector. Instructions for the valve say"remove ..... ribbed seal" from WC connector and discard. But as far as I can see the seal is bonded to the WC connector and is not removable. Would be grateful for advice if someone...
Hi all, my wife is going crazy over the smell from the kitchen sink...typical drain smell!.
Got bowl and a half in the kitchen, smell comes up from the half bowl when using the main bowl or vice versa. Decided to strip out all the waste from under sink and put new fittings pipework in. Also...
For some reason I'm not getting hot water coming out of the bath tap it's just coming out warm, it's fitted with these anti scald valves underneath the bath, I have taken the side pannel of the bath thinking it would be easy to adjust to see if that's the problem, looking at it I have no idea...
Acquaintance has problem with a 5 radiator zoned system which takes ages to heat up. The boiler (don't know output) fires up normally and after ~ 20 minutes reaches its setpoint of 65C, over the next few minutes it will creep up to 70C and then cut out, again fairly normal if min boiler output...
Hi
We recently moved into a refurbished property, don't know how old the boiler is but recently all the radiators were replaced. There is a new remote room thermostat added as well.
First problem is when the thermostat says it's not calling for heat, the boiler is constantly firing up and the...
Hi all. I hope you are all well.
I am hopefully doing my last bathroom of the year as I am totally peed off with em. Well, I still have my 2 at home to do but that will hopefully be fun!
I am installing a pump above a cylinder from a non stop flange. What's the best way to do the loop coming...
busted a hose on a new dishwasher. The pipe inside bent so much back it cracked a little. Had to cut into it seeing as it already had a small break. Seeing as the flexi is running into the back of the dishwasher, is it ok to remove the back, disconnect and just shorten the pipe and cable where...
Evening,
I am in the throws of a bathroom revamp. The old bath has a normal shallow trap however I was considering fitting an anti vac option, basically the run is quite long to the soil pipe and want to improve the discharge. I could just change like for like but want to improve performance...

Is there any way we can reset the pre payment meters when it displays call for help ?
Bumped against one this morning and SGN are taking an age to answer the phone!
A question for the mods really.
It looks to me like new posters are pre-moderated before their post appears. I quite often see a "new" post appear that says it was posted hours ago, so I assume thats a modding queue?
Also, lots of newbies have problems which would be much easier to diagnose...
Anyone have a link for a free ant virus software?
Have just received an email from Norton saying my credit card has been charged £64.99 automatic renewal?? I lost my cool and phoned my cc company but they refused to refund the money, saying I agreed to it?

Hey I've got a bath to fit that happens to be on the end of a waste/ soil pipe run. The bath has come with a waste and trap all connected up. However the trap is not anti-vac, will this be a problem anything I can do to over come this?
Hey is it correct you only need one anti vac trap per run. So if you had a bath and a basin on the same run just an anti vac trap on the basin would be ok. Even if the bath was the end of the run it wouldn't need an anti vac trap?
I bought a nice basin of ebay and it came with nice chrome taps. they work perfectly except the cold tap works the other way round. You have to turn it clockwise to open it and anti clockwise to shut it. The hot water tap works as normall. Is it some kind of adjustment in the tap itself?
