drip from those damned 1/4 turn taps

hey guys,
can anyone help, I have a dripping tap.......
It is a monobloc kitchen tap, and it uses those dreaded 1/4 turn cartridges, is there a fix if for a drip with these type? I have taken the assembly apart, and reseated the cartridge & drip still there....
The pressure is quite high, as coming in from mains, so is it this that maybe causing it? and the only fix is a new cartridge?
Any help would be appreciated.

Best place to try is the tap manufacturer see if they do the cartridge. However, I've seen them in B & Q.......Yeah, I know B & Q but I was in there looking at wood flooring......honest

A short-term cure that sometimes works is to silicone grease the rubber 'washer' at the end of the cartridge, that can let water by and cause dripping. Occasionally this will stop the drip for a fair while, but the only long-term cure that I know of is to replace the cartridge - IF you can source the correct one, that is. Otherwise it's a whole new tapset!

I've fixed these in the past by putting a ring of ptfe tape in the groove where the rubber washer sits, it pushes the washer out slightly and pushed the discs tighter together. Worked for me on a Grohe.

about £ 6.50 each where i live. have to match up the spline though.
another trick i use is to buy cheap taps and use them as parts typically about £12 each.
or,
put a smear of plumbers grease between the disc's then try a fibre washer between the washer and disk and tighten down heavily.
they normally fail due to microscopic scratches in the disc surface thanks to varying water preasures and micro-contaminants from your water provider.
