Not very neat, is it?!
You mean it's switching OK, but making a loud clicking noise?
Better to fit a nice new timer that's made for the job?

just irritating ticking has started happening
what would replace it?
Not worried about its appearence, just getting it to fit in the gap if possible
thanks

I guess therefore you're looking for something like a Timeguard immersion heater timer (try Googling).

that looks like an ideal elan or excell the clock is integral to the boiler you mat be able to get one from any boiler spares stockist or you can fit an external one but you need to run some new wiring
if you can find a direct replacement it will be exspensive probably better to go down the external route

looks like an old egg timer from the 60's to me:)

if you can get into the back workings at the cogs, give it a skwirt of silicon spray?.

The timer says smiths industrial - diagram on the back showing its connection - 2 wires to cont / timed switch and other to motor - pump?

sorry for the delay but computer went bang!!

Hi
