New to this site and not sure if i'm posting correctly but here goes. I have got monobloc design kitchen sink taps, my old set worked fine but the hot tap pressure on these is useless. The cold is fine but it is nearly impossible to run warm water as hot is so low. If i do run the hot and then put the cold on at the same time the pressure drops and then when i turn the cold off it take quite a while before the hot comes through again. Someone has said it's to do with them being flexi and not copper. Can you please tell me how I correct this problem. Can't continue like this as takes forever to run a bowl of hot water and imossible to run the two taps together for warm??? If I'm posting in the wrong section would you please advise the correct way. Thnks Linda

new taps are prob for a pressurised system and your on a gravity.

installer should of checked this - flexis are probably not helping but to be honest if taps arent right copper wont make a difference

Thanks, so if i get new Taps what type do I have to look for???

Water from the cold is forcing its way up the lower pressure hot pipe.

You need ones suitable for gravity. Also don't get one with a single knob as it won't work properly, but get one with separate valves for hot and cold.

I have got ones with a seperate hot/cold tap is that what you mean??

go to local merchants and explain your on a gravity system an you want taps to suit - or get the plumber back and tell him your problems.

Could I just fir a booster pump to increase the pressure for the hot water. I thought these pumps easily fitted under kitchen sink???

yes you could lol opening a whole new can of worms with installation then though - cheaper to get proper taps.
