My boiler cuts out whenever there is cold water demand from another tap.

I've had a Vaillant Geyser Premium Turbo boiler (not combi) for several years and it goes well when flat out, BUT... whenever there is cold water demand from another tap, e.g. when adding cold at the mixer to make the shower colder, it cuts out. You can add a little cold but you can't get it acceptably warm without the boiler sensing that there is insufficient water flow.

The water flow sensor in the boiler is a sealed unit (Honeywell). Don't know how to test it apart from putting a new one in. The mains water pressure is very good, the gas supply is fine (propane bottles), the boiler is in good condition, clean, flue well vented, no leaks or blockages.

Once the boiler cuts out it can be stubborn to restart, requiring power switch off and on. The water flow sensor seems unreasonably sensitive, to me.

Any ideas, anyone?

Ideal Logic 24, Previous problem was that the hot water was only cold or barely warm if the heating was in use. If heating was off and boiler cold then would get hot water most of the time. Changing the flow cartridge about 2 years ago (when I moved in) solved this problem enough to suffer it as...
