Best Budget combi?

Vokera compact HE are good budget boilers, cheap to repair(the majority of the time).

Stay clear of aristons, glowworms and Saunier duvals. Terrible boilers IMHO

Agree with glowworms and Saunier Duvals,however the new range of Aristons are very good boilers and after sales is second to non,however they are well over priced now and do not come under budget combi's any more,that probably why you do not see new Ariston's very often now,I could not justify paying so much for one

I would go for mains combi,wish they were a bit lighter though and stop sticking that plastic covering all over the casing

Main? I've never heard of these before? Certainly never worked on one.

Going back to aristons for a minute, there fault finding charts are terrible, it says things like check pcb, what do they mean by this? Could they not say check for power here or test resistance accross 29 & 30 or anything that might help prove a fault one way or the other but no they put check pcb, thanks for nothing ariston, rant over

I just knew Main from their multipoints before this boiler, Main Medway?
Fitted a Main 24 HE yesterday, went very well. You're right about the weight and the plastic film all over the casing.
