Hi Guys.

I've got a problem with the boiler mentioned above.

Everytime I run the water or heating I get banging noises, Inspected it and found out that the prv is opening up, due to overheating. I initially thought it was a blockage on the central heating circuit.

I was wrong. double checked again and found scale mark around pump and diverter valve. checked to see if I was getting power to pump that was ok. Took the screw cap off from pump and stuck screw driver in there but it was not spinning.

I'm I going in the correct direction or should I check other things.

I want to make sure that I'm 100% is the modulating pump not circulating.

As you know Keston spare are very expensive.

Your help will be much appreciated as before.

Regards

Andy

Hi
Have you checked if there is power to pump, 1. permanent live. 2. speed control live.
Whenheating or dhw calling fan should run & speed control should supply a voltage reading to pump.
if in doubt call Keston

Thanks for the advice. I'll call them tomorrow when im on site.

check expansion vessel as well, failed pump can cause expn vssl to give up as well as I discovered recently , replaced expn vessel and still had over pressure due to seized pump (grunfoss, took it apart, cleaned it up and its still working ok to my knowledge)
