Hi Guys,
I am the miserable owner of a Keston C36 boiler. It has had EVERYTHING on it replaced.
My questions is, what do I replace it with and can it be done without replacing the entire flue. The dual flue is at least 10m long and has a couple of 45 degree turns in it. Am I going to need...
hello good forums
Keston C36 combi boiler constantly gives error code e11. (sometimes i see error code E03) From my own research, I found the following information.
E03 Boiler overheat - check that any valves to the heating circuit have not been shut down, no air in the system and that the...
Good afternoon everyone. I'd really appreciate some advice here on a boiler issue.
I am being advised to replace my 5 year old Keston C55. I am being told that (a) there is a need for a new heat exchanger (b) that the internal circulator is on its way out and (c) that there is some damp in...
Hi Guys,
I have been called out to a Keston C55 boiler that had a E36 Fault code, changer the flow and return thermistor but still getting E36 code?
have checked all connections and wires.
Any ideas.
Thanks
In an effort to control my extremely high gas consumption, I turned down the "flow setpoint" temperature on my Keston Heat 55 boiler from 70 degrees to 48 degrees.
I have underfloor heating and this new temperature seems to be high enough for that, at least for now. The boiler also heats water...
Our Keston k60 recently had a minor problem but was nearly written off as the gasket was almost impossible to find. Luckily as I am retired and so had time to search the country and get the engineer to come back once it was in hand. So I decided to collect a range of spares to ensure we dont...
Hi another head scratcher.....
Fella has a relatively new boiler- 3yrs old and the system pressure was being lost and he topped it up. Frequency increased to 2xday and then he called me... Been there, basement installation hence the keston twin flue, condensate is pumped, prv into a saniflo...
Hi everyone
I would be grateful for advice about possible causes of excessive quantities of water being ejected from my flue. When the boiler switches on in the morning, the flue exit from my apartment block generates a lot of steam and then coughs up glass-amounts of water, falling on the...
Hi there,
Quick question to you all please. (I am Gas Safe registered incase anyone is wondering)
I need to replace a Keston (suprise suprise) and really need a boiler with a twin flue similar to that of Keston. The client under my guidance has agreed that she does not want another Keston. I...
Hi all,
Been researching to see if I can install a Nest 3rd generation control myself. I have opened up my existing Drayton Digistat and discovered the L is hooked up to 1 and I don't seem to have an earth. The system works with my wall thermostat calling the receiver, but I am just confused...

Hello fellow members - Being first time buyer, I'm having to deal with boiler problems for the first time myself, so please excuse my ignorance on the matter.

Are there any particular quirks to these boilers? Heard about them on my ACS Training course but seen my first one today. An existing customer who has moved into a house with them. How reliable are they in general?? Just want to learn a wee bit about the common faults with them before I head...
I recent had a e 18 error on the Keston c55. ( return overheat ) so I drained down the system and refilled it making sure to vent it thoroughly ( including the heat exchanger ) to eliminate any air from the system. I also replaced the flow and return thermistors and fired up the boiler...
Hi there,
Have a Keston 130 and from cold boiler strikes as expected, gets good heat and then powers off for 5-10 mins, then strikes up and heats again. Not to room stat tho. Does this sound like a failing boiler thermostat?
customer has a 3 year old c55, an absolute heap! what would you guys fit as an alternative? bearing in mind that most customers don't want low loss headers in their utility room?
all input/advice much appreciated
