Been looking at this pipe bender. Conventional pipe benders have always struck me as being fiddly and poorly designed, but I'm not so sure about parting with £75 for one that only does 15mm.

The Bahco bending looks very stylish and does have an ergonomic hand angle and grips, but it does no better than any other pipe benders. The Bahco does seem to make the pipe obround along the bend due to the way it grips the stationary end of the pipe and due to the plastic wiping action of the moving former. It has a scale which is quite useful for bending to a known angle. It is a bit expensive for only 15mm pipe, but being so it is light weight which is also useful. I think even if it had the right formers for 22mm pipe it would not have the strength to do it. monument tools make a good set of benders at a competitive price and they also sell an optional long arm for making those 22mm pipe bends a bit easier.

Hilmor or record benders anytime, bacho is to expensive just for 15mm tube, rothenberg throw it in the bin rubbish,my record bender must be 20+ years old and used on a daily basis.

Thanks. I think I'll stick with my Record one for the time being.

someone at work had one, looked and was nice to use but nothing special or better!

Like said Hilmor or record anyday!

Picked up a nice rothenberger one a couple of days ago, very handy indeed. strong aswell.

the bahco rep brought a demo bender into our local merchants a while back and i tried them on some new 15mm, seemed realy smooth and easy to use even bends 180 degrees but couldnt justify a machine that only does 15mm at a cost of £90! i know that bahco is now owned by snap-on but thats rediculous! i used to have a hilmor which i realy liked but it got half inched so bought a monument with a kick in the arm which is the best bender ive ever used.
