Hello All

In the middle of re doing my ensuite and its now plumbing time.

All the water pipes have been capped off with i think is called an isolating valve.

I wanted to use flexible plastic / push fit type system to the sink and shower but which is the correct way to do it?

I guess i can fit a small piece of copper pipe t the valve and use push fit from there or is there another way.

Or how /type of method would plumbers recommend

Regards
Ian

You can do what your thinking , keep everyting valved and just use a section of copper or pb pipe attatched to the iso valve, and make sure you use the correct pipe inserts for the pushfit pipe.

Just put an insert into the ends of the push fit an fit it into the isolation valve in the same way as copper and tighten so the olive grips. Use ptfe tape to make sure of a good seal.

Do you mean a plastic or copper ?
do you mean an insert inside the plastic push fit pipe to stop it squashing?

Plastic pipe should always have inserts placed into cut ends whatever the fitting, be it compression or push fit.

Plastic pipe can be used in compression fittings the same way as copper, though the use of PTFE tape around the olive is advised.
