Been asked to replace the cylinder on an Aga with a twin coil cylinder foe solar, the problem I am having is to find a cylinder with 1" primary coil for the Aga as all the ones I have found so far have 22mm or 3/4" coil, do you think this would work ok with the Aga? The cylinder and Aga are side by side about 600mm apart.

Dont know the definitive answer but Aga would.
As you probably know there's a shift towards fully pumped coils etc and thats why 1 in coils are rare.can the Aga be fully pumped in which case 22m coils should cope.

Trouble is the Aga is a vap burner on a gravity coil so if there was a power outage then there would be overheat issues with it being pumped, Thanks for your input.

I thought that after I wrote it DOH! I,ve just found a company called "ECO ENERGY DEPOT" who say that their twin coil cylinders are 28mm internally, plus other stuff.
Sorry cant put a link up on this feckin stupid laptop

I ordered a cylinder from my local merchants a little while ago. Nothing unusual but they grilled me for ages for its size, fittings, etc. I wonder if it's worth approaching your local (independent) plumbing supplier?
