anyone heard the new one about having to install a hot/cold mixer (temp limit) valve to the hot water inlet on all new bath installation?? comes into effect oct so i heard

its in scotland and pretty sure its on any new installations. most people dont want them and complaints of water not bein hot enough, especially with colder weather coming and people having hotter showers and baths. also if you put them on basin bath and shower that can add on quite a bit to quote. makes you wonder why its thought we cant run a bath these days. been asked to remove 2 which i wont do, prob make a good living from it tho

part g as its known,on baths in new build only. canceled or on hold at minute

Yes its for new homes only at the moment in building regs part G

Basically in short it means fitting a blending valve under the bath to restrict the hot temperature to max 48 degrees

Or to fit a thermostatic Bath fill or bath shower mixer

im not great on regs to be honest, when you say new build i assume that is restrited to new bath within a new built house? what about an extention with palnning & inspections??

Yes, a new build is basically a new house being built so the bathroom in there will be affected.

Extensions and refurns aren't required to adhere to this yet but word is that it will soon be under the same guidelines.

its been common practice in schools ,hospitals, public baths for many years.

after they cut the number of scalding theyll realise a certain number of people drown in the bath every year and they will remove the water
when will people realise what kills people is living. the longer you live the higher the chance of dieing till it reaches 100per cent so live each day like your on 99

Well new builds already have to have eco every thing

Flow limiters alll over the place and shallower baths all to save water

Yet the water companies lose millions of gallons yearly or whatever the excessive rate is
