basically as the title says, ive installed a shower pump for a customer, all pipe work and electrics correct, once shower turned on you get a little blast from the pump then it cuts out, having been there all day yesterday i have determined that the pump is faulty, its a wickes special by the way.

any other ideas???

i think youve answered your own question in saying that everything is set up right but isnt working properly = faulty pump :)
before i go though, have you got the correct pump in terms of positive/negative head?

its been installed above the cylinder as space was restricted using a surry flange and loop in pipe work. (as per mi's)

or is there trapped air? disconnect the power from the pump and run the shower on gravity alone, might just clear it is air is there

if you already pulled through both hot and cold i would say faulty pump!!

I was called out to something simular.
Took shower off and filters were totaly blocked not allowing enough flow through.
It was a new install DIY but fair play it was a good job.
