If above is correct is there any reason why the whole lot can`t be moved to the left so it lines up?

So basically, I can't line it up because the full sink on the right is lower than the previous one and the pipes can't be cut back anymore. So when I attach the suckers they keep leaking, even the u bend that I removed which wasn't altered is leaking. I though the valve would be the hard part.

Yes it will need cutting to suite the installation.
