A garage conversion with one door, one very small window. Rest just brick wall, insulation, plasterboard and roof.

Likely to be cool in summer or hot in summer?

But would the one small window help or hinder? Houses in very hot countries usually have tiny windows. Obviously not much cop for letting hot air out though..

We did one of these a few months ago. If the insulation is to current spec then there will be little heat gain or cold loss. One factor is the direction of the window. If south facing there will be some solar gain. However if an old conversion ignore all of this as building control used to be happy with the builder showing "willing" with insulation. As of today we have garage conversions that would not be out of place in Scandinavia but the rest of the property is an energy sieve.
