Hi I’m new here and don’t know a thing about plumbing so be gentle on me as I am also going to ask a possible dumb question, this summer I turned of the ”heating“ on the Drayton box and turned thermostat to zero but obviously had to keep the hot water on as I do every summer but I noticed the radiators kept getting warm when the hot water came on so I turned off the dials on the actual radiators and that seemed to stop them getting warm except for one in the main bedroom ( I have been told it’s a sticking valve) my possible dumb question is if I leave it that way for the winter like keep heating set to “off” keep thermostat turned all the way down the radiators will still get warm because of this sticking valve possible saving me a fortune in £££ as I haven’t got the heating on !??? I’m probably missing something here but hope someone can enlighten me.

I did some plumbing for an old lady who's children were trying to force her to get central heating fitted.
She refused as she was happy with her open fire and bed warmer.
I bet she saved a fortune too!
