I am in the process of refurbishing my small cloakroom. The existing toilet pan has a bottom outlet and enters the soil pipe in the floor. The the centre of this soil pipe is 250mm (10") from the outside wall. As you will be aware, virtually all new toilet pans have horizontal outlets and on most of these the "spigot to wall" distance is considerably less than 250mm (often as small as 65mm but typically around 150mm). I would welcome any comments as to whether an offset connector, in association with a swan-neck space saving connector would enable me to install a close coupled toilet pan with a spigot distance of around 120 to 150mm. Or are these offset connectors only for use in the horizontal position?

I know that other options include taking up the floorboards and repositioning the soil pipe (no thanks!) or building a false wall 4 inches or so from the existing back wall. Space is at a premium so I'd rather not do this if I don't have to. Ideas please!
Thanks J

If it won't fit with just the swan neck pan connector then as long and its floorboards and not concrete then adjust the soil pipe providing its plastic?

Phil, Thanks for your speedy reply. Unfortunately, the existing soil pipe isn't plastic. The house was built 40 years ago. (Probably before plastics were invented!)

I think someone on here mentioned this toilet may be suitable for these situations, further investigation is required with the manufacturer.
