I have been asked to fit a bidet that is integral to the toilet seat.
It was all new to me, but had a look online and all seems OK.
It is a bio bidet, WRAS approved to connect to mains.

anyway has anyone fitted one before, any issues possible problems,
pointers on best practice etc

A heated seat?! And a wash and dry option?!! AND a remote control! I want one.

can you do a full review when its fitted please?!

Is the "feminine nozzle" below the spillover level of the pan? It looks like it might be on the drawing.
If it is then it becomes notifiable and all the backflow prevention issues need to be considered

Not cheap somewhere between ÂŁ500-ÂŁ600!
there is also a enema setting for a real deep clean feeling (turbo wash)

my first thoughts when I was asked about it was that it would have to be supplied from a tank.
I haven't seen the product as yet, just got some info of the net so I had some idea what it was.
The instructions don't really go into much detail, other than WRAS approved and to be fitted to the wc supply pipe,
fitted with what looks to be a single check valve. It does have its own tank of water so??
I was hoping someone else had already gone through all the dilemmas/questions about fitting so i don't have to.

Valid point about where the nozzle and spill level Ray.
I have just been looking at the supply pressures and it translates to approx :-
min - 0.4 bar to over 7 bar. would be struggling with a tank supply to get that, so it suggests that it has to be from the mains.

I'd be looking at some TMV mixer protection as well.

Thats no place to be broiling the meat.

I am thinking Ray that there is a marketing opportunity here for you.
when you have done all the research be sure to let me know...:ihih:

7 bar cold main up the farter would get you off the toilet quick

follow the instructions to the T, not as a previous incumbent did when I removed one and reinstalled it after a bathroom upgrade. It all sits above the rim fm memory and has a check valve in the install kit, needs to be used, pity the first guy there left it in the box. Do not lean on the seat lid, its weak, but the main seat is ok, as the ones I have worked with are used by a family of weights going upto 28 stone!!, hence why they use them as its the only way they can wipe!!!!!!!!! your installing the cheapest version, when you get on to the frame mounted wc unit with drier etc I think they cost ÂŁ1500 and the glass wall/frame cover behind is fairly impressive.

thanks LP, so is it connected onto the cold main?
what about notification??

beeing arsy there, I have yet to see any plumber notifyng any water co , the only time ny wras pad has been used was to give a certificate to an idiot facilities manager who wanted one for a tap swap in an office! I am of the opinion that if you follow the rules, and the manuals correctly why do you need to notify the world. No one follows up and checks the only time you really ned to certify is on new builds and alterations in buildings and half the time the inspectors know less than you!

Good post Simon F - I did a post on the ones we have been asked to fit so far
and it got poo hooed ! the reality is its a real commercial growth for 2014
- this is a big area with good profit margins in our experience - there are also
massive discounts from main supplier for bulk orders As we look after a number of McCarthy Stone retirement complexes you can see why we know Centralheatking
