I like the set up, but most of the coring I do is old stone with crap in the middle. Dont knowvhowvit would fare against that.

Day off today.
Changed front brake pads.
Been for christmas tree.
On fitting new living room carpet.
Then put decorations up.

Back to work tomorrow for a rest.

Turns out the builder didn’t finish his job levelling they base for the boiler so couldn’t core the hole yet as chances are it will be wrong

Every cloud and all that mate. At least you had an easy day.

well no had to hand make a hole in the wall with the trusty coal chisel, don’t miss them days :D

Well the builder pss me off today

spent yesterday first fixing the wastes to the internal stub and noted to them they would need a low level pan due to first fix drainage in the wrong place 6” too far forward So close wouldn’t fit

came today to find all my waste that I did yesterday ripped out and them jackhammering there waste out to move it closer due to low level systems being “too expensive” to say I wanted to swing for someone would be an understatement

least my first and second fix heating system passed pressure test :D

only had one leak only on an elbow on a drop

I've fitted 3 this year.
1st one an external combi, pcb was goosed.
2nd one an internal combi, the plastic flues are absolute tat.
3rd one, another external combi, it's about 2 months old and the diverter valve is goosed.

I think all oil combi boiler are absolute cack. Much prefer a Hounsfield and an unvented.

Fitted a wall hung Aquaclean today (about £4000, I kid you not?!).

Well, I invoked plumber’s privilege and tried it out first as I think it’s one of the rules. Don’t suppose customer would be too thrilled!

Dunno why you bothered with all that boarding and tanking etc, you could have just knocked it back to the brick and toshed a couple of coats of varnish!!!!

Sat in the dark waiting for the sparks to find the fault on the ring main.
Nothing worse than not being able to get on then not getting on on a Sunday afternoon.

Do you like the Walraven plastic pipe clips?

I've started using them they're expensive but very handy.
I think they are good, much better than talons and cheaper than munsens. I like that you get a but of adjustment when you place them and they clip in nicely. I get them from direct channel, they are online. What got me was I bought them from BSS first and they were Uponor branded and more than twice the price, was glad to find them on direct channel

It’s not my day today :D

finished the boiler off and come to fire it up no oil flow either someone’s forgot to order some or someone’s nicked it which do you think the builders sticking to :D

and then my testo decides to crap itself only just come back from service

Was asked by a local engineering workshop to connect a new bit of kit they had, said it need some electric and a water supply. Was told it should be quite quick to do, looks like it will be 2 days! Its an industrial parts washer for cleaning very small gears. Got to start the water supply tomorrow and install a settlement tank and drain major 😫
