Hi

Over the last few days the hot tap on our Shower Mixer Deck has become very stiff, only turns about 1/4 compared to the cold about 2 full rotations, and the hot water trickles out. We live in a hard water area and the taps have been installed for approx 5 years. Is this limescale build up, dodgy washer or other?

Thanks in advance.

Mark

strip it down give it a good clean wd40 or similar and silicone grease and replace.

make sure you turn off the water using the service valve under the sink :) check washer if its damaged will need replacing but sounds like scale problem
