I am putting a washing machine into my garage which is seperate from my house i understand that i will have to put some sort of waste in. I have a inspection chamber between the house and the garage is it possible to tap in to that. The IC is the concrete and brick type

Hi. More digging required. And then a 100 mm drain taken through the wall of inspection chamber and terminated with half round (for rodding access). The other end perhaps a back inlet gully, to which the 42 mm W/Machine waste can discharge. Good luck

Do i have to dig right to the bottom of the IC or can i come through the wall

I think there is a standard specification for this. You may find it on the net.

Apologies for stating the obvious, but make sure you IC is for foul water and not surface water!

Hi. You can. If deep put in a tumbler along with roding point etc. But some building control are not keen on them. By rights any alteration to below ground drainage should be inspected by building control. Good Luck

The IC is about 2 foot deep how would i connect up to it or would it be better to t into the outlet pipe after the chamber
