Hi Guys

I am new to this so hope this question makes sense.

I am hoping you can assist is there a standard clearance in respect of smallbore pipework for central heating systems when running the pipework to the radiator, is it acceptible for this to run close to the floor or should it be above the level of the skirting board.

Whatever looks neatest and least noticeable (my words). So if they can come out of the wall then elbow up to the valve or come from behind the radiator and go to each end of the radiator hidden behind it with a sort of loop under the valve or ...

Hopefully you get my drift. No real standard practice but bear in mind the maniacs with no vacuum driver licences or insurance or the dog that likes to lie against a nice hot pipe in the winter.

personally i would run the pipe above the level of the skirting in the wall because once it is covered if you nail the skirting on there is a good chance you will pierce the pipe
