Hi there. Been a while, but have a question.

I've got one or two radiators to connect in a new extension. There's a small radiator in the existing house where I can break into and continue the circuit through to the extension.

Now, the existing house is suspended timber floor. The extension is insulated concrete floor.

Am I best to run the pipes in the 100mm celotex floor layer? Or sleeve and run in the screed? Would insulating the pipes be of any benefit in a floor of this type?

Thanks.

I would run the pipes in the screed, the celotex will act as a thermal barrier, and will prevent the pipes losing heat into the ground. Regards insulating depends on how deep the screed is, if you thin wall lagging then you are increasing the diameter upto 33mm. This could cause cracks to appear in the screed.
