Hello All,

today has been one of those days!
arrived to service a potterton profile 100e and found a lot of rust dust in boiler so decided to strip down, remove burner and clean thoroughly.
i reassembled and fired up boiler.

there was a fault evident in that
1- the boiler goes through start up sequence and burner fires up BUT then burner shuts down with in 5 seconds or less.
2- pilot remains lit and spark starts again and burner ignites BUT shuts down again after a couple of seconds.
3- this cycle continues without any lockout of boiler.
4- when looking through sight glass the burner flame (at first) looks clean and sharp but then seems to wash out or possibly lift.
5- burner has been removed twice and cleaned , checked for cracks etc
6- components such as fan, pressure switch, boiler stat and over heat reset switch all shorted out one at time but boierl still behaves in same way?
7- guys any help would be much appreacuited

thanks
