We had someone install a new syphon system into our downstairs toilet, but the flush is so weak now that it's not taking away tissue easily etc., also he told us you have to hold it down for 5 seconds to make it work, but it still isn't strong enough. The water isn't going around the whole bowl either when it flushes.

Any advice at all?

Thanks in advance!

If you're not happy then he shouldn't mind looking at it if he's a pro.

Any chance of a few pics inside might be the water level, and have you tried just pushing and letting go any better?

It hasn't been set right. That's what happens when you employ a jack of all trades.

Many flush valves can be adjusted to improve the max flush. Sounds to me like the handyman doesn't understand flushes

Have tried just pushing and letting go but it just does the same; but here's the picture, any info?

Get him back

Water level too low by about 1 1/2 inches and get him to max out the siphon

agreed also, water should be where the line is on the cistern

Thank you all for your advice and speedy responses, have passed this onto him, so hopefully he will come back round to sort!

Yeah level too low & the siphon has an adjustable flap to increase or decrease flush Volume... the red flap on front!
