Hi all,
The U Bend under my kitchen sink is leaking constantly now and making a mess. The press is terribly damp.
I need to get it fixed, but can't afford a tradesman right now.
Is it a simple enough fix to DIY?
I've been watching the tutorial videos, and the pros make it look very straight forward. Problem is - if I make a mess of it I flood the whole kitchen.
Any advice?
I've attached a photo of the leaking seal - where the red arrow is pointing.

Thanks

easy fix, the only water in that assembly is the water in the trap, about a can of pop. just don't try and wash the trap out in the sink you have just took it from!

Most DIYers will undo the one under the sink, take it to a shed and get the closet match to it and replace

With bucket/bowl under trap undo screw connector indicated by red arrow and screw connector other side of U bend. There will be an O ring type rubber seal, square section, at each location. If seal is missing replacements are available from most DIY outlets. Sometimes all that's necessary is to correctly reassemble ensuring seal is not misplaced or twisted.
