Hi

What is the difference between the kopex pipeslice available on amazon etc and the kopex by JTM listed on the JTM plumbing website( Kopex) . On closer inspection on the picture has rothenberger on picture.

Many people say kopex are the pipeslice to go for would you agree?

Kopex for me but loads will disagree, some of the bodys are plastic , be careful.

TBH I like the plastic body's more had a 28mm one for a few years never rusts or gums up

You wont go far wrong with kopex its a good pipe slice just strip it down now and then and clean it

I have recently bought the Regin ones after having happily used the Kopex ones for years but disliked the plastic 28mm ones. I am seriously impressed with them. Had them 6 months so far and no complaints all 3 of them 15, 22 & 28 are all metal and easy to maintain. A real contender to the Kopex. The choice is yours...

Cheers for all your replies. I was thinking kopex is the one to go for, but unsure the one listed on the JTM plumbing site is kopex or rothenberger. Link posted in original post

Confused? You will be, after another exciting episode of SOAP.

I have a mix. Monument, rothy and my 28 is plastic. For the big stuff I prefer my ratchetting cutter I bought from HWOS.

It was also weapon of choice in the secret santa

Yeah it's a strange one, seen somewhere else aswell rothenberger by kopex similiar image. Maybe best to ask them, only thing is usually they are not sure themselves.

I'm against the plastic one Shaun! I found the plastic 28mm wears out prematurely and only last about 6 month before its more of a threading tool than a cutter! But I do a lot of big bore pipework so maybe it's just me.

I've got a plastic one in the workshop here and I won't buy another. As you say, in about six months of moderate use, the pins that go through the rollers wear in their fixing holes to make the hole out of round. Then the slice starts tracking up the pipe. One to be avoided unless you only use 28mm occasionally. I can see the value in it not corroding so easily in storage.

Rotten burger is a kopex, Kopex did have a patent I think but with the amount of cheap copy's now I'm guessing it's up. Monuments are better then Kopex imp.

Hi. I need a new toilet supply line but don’t know the size type of the fitting at the shut off valve. It is not 3/8 compression. It is a plastic nut about the same size as the one going into the cistern but has a different thread. Attached is a photo. Can you advise. Thanks.

Hi all. Hope you have all been keeping well. A while back I decided I only wanted to fit one brand of boiler and decided on Viessmann due to space for servicing and changing parts if ever needing to. I am finding my decision rather hard due to the different clearances on flue runs and cupboards...
