I am having problems with a Selamander Twin Impellar pump, the flow switch seems to be faulty as it doesnt activate the pump when the hot kitchen tap is switched on, I have to open the whb tap to start the pump, then the pump will activate correctly for a while until the problem starts again. The pump is quite old, should I just renew it?

well if working on all taps apart from kitchen sink ,seems flow rate at tap problem so before you dive in and replace pump

check kitchen tap filter/flow spout at end of tap not partly blocked

isolate pump remove hot side pipework and check nothin is stuck in flow switch restricting movement

if pump can be fitted anyway round for hot and cold ,change around, existing cold flow switch may work ok for hot kichen tap flow rate
