I have a problems with my washing machine. Whenever it spins i get a loud clunking sound in my pipes. I have looked on line and found out about a water hammer but that seems to be when it is filling and not spinning. Any ideas what the problem could be?

Thanks

Are you sure the noise incoming from the pipes? Sounds more like bearings or something caught in the cylinder. Best bet would be to call out a washing machine specialist.

Its defiantly from the pipes, clunking near the stopclock. Called a washing machine specialist and he said to call a plumber!

had this one, back of machine touching pipework, pull forward alittle or packer inbetween..hope this helps

are the pipes properly clipped?

Totally agree, if the problem persists and your sure its the pipes and your sure it only happens on the washing machine you can fit a shock arrestor which will stop the problem.

Having said that if its only just happened and its properly clipped probably worn washing machine........

Nothing else has changed!
