Hi , does any one know whats going on with the electricians and tilers forum, i can not gain access to either site.

We tend not to talk to them. Our being right all the time upsets their narrow views of the world.....

On that subject Hi I'm a Mod over there, Admin is there any chance of increasing my pm allowance as I'm limited to 3 which is proving hard work.
Many thanks.

You're only allowed 3 pm's as a mod?

We get unlimited. ....

What have I missed? And what's that strange smell in here?!:waving:

Hey whats all these little copper cable clippings doing under my carpet in the shower tray getting ground in when I stand on it?

Be grateful it's bits of wire, If you knew what my Avatar is over there it could be a lot worse.

its a big silver gorilla isnt it?

That's what this forum needs..

More Jovial banter...

But preferably towards the abusive end of the jovial scale when it comes to dealing with electricians.

What's wrong with the electricians forum?

Sorry to all you plumbers, I'm from the other side!

Just hoping that someone here knows what is wrong with the electricians forum as the site is no longer availiable and I'm missing it!?

Cheers all.

Re: What's wrong with the electricians forum?

I'm really going to have to give Dan a talking to.

All these sparkies showing up is making my teeth itch....

Re: What's wrong with the electricians forum?

Hi guys, the tilers forum and electrician forum are both having major server issues. Dans been working for 2 days straight to fix them. Please hang in there we are hoping they will be fixed this weekend.

At least he had the manners to apologise first.

Re: What's wrong with the electricians forum?

Thinking further on it....

An electrician who knows how to apologise?

We should get him stuffed!

Re: What's wrong with the electricians forum?

Thanks guys..and Louise.

I did say thanks before but the post doesn't seem to come up.

I'm trying my hardest to stay non-cheeky whilst on your turf, but if they don't fix the electricians forum soon I'm going to have to start with some waterworks jokes!

Lou posted earlier Dan has been working on the servers for 2 straight days to resolve the problems, as for old software I hear some of you don`t like the new look.

Cheers, its like anything really, just takes some getting used to, alot better for staff though, more options and easier use makes the whole forum run smoother which most members don't really ever think about, you can easily switch all your colour format with one click, I'm on red or purple depending on my mood - just got bored of this blue and orange and the fiddling about to try change some of it... we had a few grumbles from the odd member but the majority seem to like it.. Quoting or multi-quoting is simplified too and we have character emoticons like minions etc and its more phone friendly too.

But it's not working?..... we don't like change here. The orange changed to a brighter shade a few months back and there was uproar in here!

Sorry Darkwood, I would have to disagree a little. I've found it great to come on this site again for 2 reasons:

1. I can say thankyou (had to say that one really, but it's true)
2. I find the new site far less effective to conduct searches. You could experience this for yourself by typing in 'part p' into the search bar on this site.. lots of relevant threads come up with 'part p' in them. If you type this into the new electricians forum it will just say the words are too common or something like that and will not search.

However, I'm sure part of it is just getting used to it.

Well if Dan can't fix it we can just stay here and Play. On that note though I just want to say thanks to everyone who have let us crash here, I promise we will clear up our litter and tents before we leave.
