worcester junior pilot light keaps going on and off continously

hi all. ive got a worcester junior boiler model 28i and for some reason when i turn the hot water on the light next to the flame symbol should stay on but for some reason it comes on for a few seconds then off then on again and so on. the water that comes out is just warm where it is usually boiling hot. the presure in the system seems ok. ive tryed switching the boiler off and reseting the pilot light and nothing seems to work. any ideas??

it could be a blocked heat exchanger, not heating the water but getting to hot for the boiler

is it an easy fix? or will i have to get a plumber in to do it? thanx

not really but to be honest it could be a number of things and not even the fault i said ring a local gas safe registered engineer

It is if you have small hands and are good at the krypton factor. Otherwise no. Best to get someone to check it out as it could be a few different things.

the boiler has taken the turn for the worse now. i can hear the boiler lighting up but the light at the front doesnt flash or come on anymore

Bit of a longshot on this weather but had problem with Worcester greenstar in winter due to frozen condensate pipe! This blocked condensate drain caused the boiler to cut out and also give warm water at first
