pilot
An aircraft pilot or aviator is a person who controls the flight of an aircraft by operating its directional flight controls. Some other aircrew members, such as navigators or flight engineers, are also considered aviators, because they are involved in operating the aircraft's navigation and engine systems. Other aircrew members, such as drone operators, flight attendants, mechanics and ground crew, are not classified as aviators.
In recognition of the pilots' qualifications and responsibilities, most militaries and many airlines worldwide award aviator badges to their pilots.

Hi all,
Over the years I had to replace the entire burner assembly on my gas water heater. The common issue was the pilot light would keep going out, so I would replace the entire burner unit. (all wires & the burner)
All was good over the past 4 years until today. My pilot light is no where to...

We just had our meters changed from prepayment to smart meters. The boiler was lit after with no leaks, but has subsequently gone out and won't stay lit anymore.
There is still a good gas supply to the cooker so I don't think it's a supply issue.
Any ideas???

Hi everyone,
Been to look at a Thorn Apollo tonight, 30/50b. The pilot will light if I hold in the gas valve button and press the ignition button but goes out as soon as the valve button is released, holding it in long enough but it doesn't want to know.
Thermocouple looks ropey.

I'm a builder rather than plumber so hadn't used core drills until now. I've bought a Dewalt D21570K which was recommended by a plumber. I went on to buy a set of Dart drill bits. Both items weren't bottom of the range but not far off. I only needed the drill to make three holes hence the...

Sad to hear this great man has died, albeit at the good age of 97.
