Hello again everyone,

Hopefully you can help me once again, when working for a big insurance company they put me through my G3 unvented course, I took exam and was given a Bpec unvented card and was then told I can work on unvented. I no longer work for them and my card is still in date but wondered if I can still work on unvented as I don't know if I'm registered or not? Do you have to be registered with a body like gas? Where is best place to find out if I am still able to work on and install unvented cylinders?
I was told by another plumber that I should be fine to work on existing installs but if I was to put one in I could not commission it and I would have to inform building office so they could come and commission it? Is this right?

Help appreciated
thanks

AS long as you've got a current ticket you're fine to install and commission. Only problem maybe with registering installs with BC if you're not a member of a trade body that you can do it through.

Have a read of part g, it's all in there. Your qualification is registered to you, not the company who paid for it. Join a cps and self cert, charge 50notes for doing so.
