NZ plumber

Hi everyone,
I am a qualified plumber and gas fitter in New Zealand but am now living in the UK.I have been plumbing now for 9 years so have a fair bit of experience.
The plumbing forum website is a brilliant idea and I enjoy going through it.
Can anyone help me with any information or advice as to changing my qualifications over to British ones? Do I have to change them over or can I work with my NZ qualifications?
If anyone could help that would be much appreciated as I am struggling to find a job for those reasons I think.

Cheers

As far as i know if u hav over 5yrs exp in plumbing u can take the NVQ level 2/3 assessment which consists of live hot and cold appliances installations being assessed by an assessor some of which charge between £800 and £1900. these installs would be your own work, the assessor will come out to inspect them and pass them off. You will probable hav to take the UK Water regs course and maybe the unvented hot water course. Also the Gas Safe course to work on boilers. Hope this helps.
