Customer says that the boiler makes an intermittent loud howling noise.

I had the thing running for an hour without a hint of unexpected noise, has anyone come across this before?

Yes in fact a house on my street has this problem but I don't know what boiler it is as they declined when I asked if they wanted me to take a look as it didn't bother them! Most likely an incorrect gas valve adjustment will be the cause but obviously difficult to say if you don't actually hear it

Also its highly irregular as to when it actually makes the noise some days a lot others only once or twice! Its loud enough for me to hear sat inside my house several houses down too and would describe it as sounding like blowing over the end of an empty bottle only much louder

yep i agree with vern i have had this myself with wb boilers and needs the air gas ratio setting

Had the same as vern WB making noise, their guy adjusted gas ratio

Hi guys. I'm trying to identify a toilet model before ordering a seat for a customer. I went to what used to be a Roca stockist (they no longer are) and one of the guys there reckoned it might be "The Gap". I went to the new stockist and the guy there disagreed it was "The Gap" and that he'd...

Every two weeks or so I have to go and top up the system because the hot taps are running cold. Boiler display is flashing 0.6 bar and I fill up to 1.3. I've had an engineer look inside the boiler and he can't see anything wrong. I've checked the pipes all over the house and cannot see any...
