Hi

Does anyone have any recomendations for a decent multimeter, possibly up to about £100.

Im using a cheapo one atm and its the third one ive been through.

I hope this is the right section of the forum.

many thanks

my £20 wickes one has lasted 3 years, if you have a fluke at £100 plus they get broken just as easily.

depends how accurate you need it to be, i have and need a fluke and trust its readings no matter what, if you want to check for dead or voltage present, continuity etc B&Q sell a Rapitest multimeter for about £35 which is very robust and i used one for many years in an industrial enviroment. infact a lot of my colleagues still do.

The Fluke ones are very good and are £60 upwards.

Can anyone recommend a decent multi meter, preferably under a 100 pounds. It's for checking boiler components so I don't need a top spec one ....just easy to use and reliable. The fluke 115 looks good but its above my budget. My current socket and see one was great but it's developed a fault.

I have an ideal vogue max S18 boiler and I’m considering fitting auto balancing TRVs, my question relates to the boilers pump. I see a boiler pump menu for either 70% or 100%, so, is the pump set at either one of two fixed speed percentages or does the pump actually vary speed, (modulate)...

Hello, I am seeking some advice, I have a POTTERTON PROMAX 28 COMBI Boiler and I noticed yesterday that the water around the house is no longer warming up. The heat exchanger has been changed 6 months ago, so I do not believe it is that. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Thanks

I was stupid enough not to check the position of the pipes under the tiles when installing a toilet and drilled right through the center of a 16 mm copper water pipe. I exposed the pipe by removing a ~30cm section of the plastic sleeve and a ~10 cm section of the pipe around the hole. Several...
