I fear it may leaking as the plastic skirting has cracked at the bottom and I'm worried we'll go crashing through the floor...

Usually the panel with the button will pull forward, you may need something to give it a little nudge past the spring clips as it is hard to get your hands in.

Try pressing the button partially in and often you can use that finger to pull the panel off by applying sideways and forward pressure in the hole cutout.
What’s next to it? If you really struggle I have done it before by drilling a small hole diagonally through from the inside of the next unit and poking a long thin screwdriver through to force the wc panel off from behind.

Hi. I need a new toilet supply line but don’t know the size type of the fitting at the shut off valve. It is not 3/8 compression. It is a plastic nut about the same size as the one going into the cistern but has a different thread. Attached is a photo. Can you advise. Thanks.

I was stupid enough not to check the position of the pipes under the tiles when installing a toilet and drilled right through the center of a 16 mm copper water pipe. I exposed the pipe by removing a ~30cm section of the plastic sleeve and a ~10 cm section of the pipe around the hole. Several...

I have attached an image of the brass body within a tap. Having replaced a cartridge which has cured a leaking tap, I can see that there is a small leak from the brass body which can be unscrewed. Is there a seal behind the body? Thanks.
