Discuss Green / Brown sticky substance on combi boiler pipe in the USA area at PlumbersForums.net

Hi,

Does anyone know if this is a problem? Per attached pictures one of the pipes coming out from the boiler (Worcester) has a green/brown sticky residue. Sometimes it will harden, other times like the picture it will soften and slowly run down. Its not water like, more like grease. I have BG Homecare but don’t want to call them if this is normal.

I had to top up the boiler about a week or so a go, first time since we moved here in almost a year, topped it to 1.5 and its now more like 1.4. Not sure if this is indicative of anything or that could just be air settling since I topped it up.

Appreciate any comments !
