brown
Brown is a composite color. In the CMYK color model used in printing or painting, brown is made by combining red, blue, and yellow. In the RGB color model used to project colors onto television screens and computer monitors, brown is made by combining red and green, in specific proportions. In painting, brown is generally made by adding black to orange or yellow.
The color brown is seen widely in nature, wood, soil, human hair color, eye color and skin pigmentation. Brown is the color of dark wood or rich soil. According to public opinion surveys in Europe and the United States, brown is the least favorite color of the public; it is often associated with plainness, the rustic, feces, and poverty. More positive associations include baking, warmth, wildlife, and the autumn.
Hi all, I'm hoping someone on here will be able to help me with an issue I'm having at home. We've just returned from a week long holiday and have noticed that one of our toilets (a catalano toilet on a geberit frame) seems to have brown water coming up into the toilet bowl. When we flush, the...
Hi,
Does anyone know if this is a problem? Per attached pictures one of the pipes coming out from the boiler (Worcester) has a green/brown sticky residue. Sometimes it will harden, other times like the picture it will soften and slowly run down. Its not water like, more like grease. I have BG...
I got a Mains Pressure Hot water System, it's about 3 years old. The shower filters get blocked yearly, and if it gets drained for maintenance, when you purge the system, you get loads of brown sludge.
This is on the hot water side only.
How can I prevent this brown sludge build-up, and how can...
Hi. I recently(3 yrs) had my boiler replaced and the system was really thoroughly cleaned with a professional pressure flush. Fernox inhibitor was used on the refill. Ever since, my header tank has suffered a build up (over 6 months or so) of a thick brown gel which floats on the surface and a...

This is interesting, when fixing a rad I tend to not use the supplied fixings and just use my own. I use Rawlplug Uno brand as I think you get a really good grip.
Any Rawlplug nerds will find this video interesting.
Please forgive my lack of knowledge but I thought i'd ask if anyone would have any idea on how to locate the following problem. I have had dynorod out who 'drained down?' tanks but to no avail:

Hello
I’m a 30 year old single lady, I’m going to be totally honest and say I know nothing about plumbing!!!
Ive lived here for 6 years (am homeowner) no plumbing problems. I have two water tanks in my loft, 1 hot water tank and 1 normal water tank. Both of them are intermittently leaking out...

We've recently been having issues with our central heating coming on. No matter whether we have our setting on for "twice", "all day " or "24hrs" we have no hot water in our radiators. Our boiler is definitely working, it heats our hot water. I've looked in our airing cupboard and notices the...
Got a 110 mm brown UG pipe stub coming up through sub floor concrete. Want to connect a shower waste via a strap boss just above the concrete so that the pipe can run in the insulation and under the top screed. Will be very inconvenient if joint leaks! But I have doubts as to whether you can...
