Installing an electronic scale inhibitor, done plenty of in-line ones but the question I have is with the electronic ones can I wrap the wires around the hot cylinder outlet or can it only go on cold feeds?

Thanks in advance.

The "theory" would be it converts the water flowing thru into protected form that will not stick ,

( but IF the electronic ones are any good , is another debate )

Do instructions/website give any best placement advice for particular design ?

Looking at the one on ScrewFix... got great reviews but no install info on the details, didnt want to buy before finding out it can only be fixed to cold feed.

Hi. I need a new toilet supply line but donā€™t know the size type of the fitting at the shut off valve. It is not 3/8 compression. It is a plastic nut about the same size as the one going into the cistern but has a different thread. Attached is a photo. Can you advise. Thanks.

I was stupid enough not to check the position of the pipes under the tiles when installing a toilet and drilled right through the center of a 16 mm copper water pipe. I exposed the pipe by removing a ~30cm section of the plastic sleeve and a ~10 cm section of the pipe around the hole. Several...
