Hello all, i have just replaced my toilet and basin/taps in my bathroom upstairs, I have run the system and all other hot feed taps are fine in the house but I cant get a drop out the one ive changed, ive checked all valves and had the mixer tap off and apart. One thing to mention is I previously had the same fault on the water feed in question when I first bought my house, I had a plumber in who re piped a section of it and he said the previous owner had tapped off a vent? He held his finger over the tap and it started to back feed in to the tank? Anyhow when he'd finished all was right, for months, untill now. Any help would be appreciated.

have you tried holding finger over tap?

or suck water with wet vac?

Thanks for your reply, sorted it now, tried the finger over tap trick but to no avail. Managed to suck it through by mouth in the end, got rather light headed but all is now as it should be

Hello all, I’m replacing a concrete paving slab patio in the back yard. The original patio used 50mm deep concrete slabs on hardcore & sand. I’m planning to pour a 100mm deep concrete patio on 100mm hardcore. In order to achieve the same final height to line up with the rest of the patio, I...
