Hey all

wondering if anyone knows of a way to get rid of flux stains on clothing?

I have a few work pants and t shirts that i've managed to get flux on and they have turned pink.

Any advice wold be appreciated.

No chance it's not a stain, it's the same as getting bleech on your clothes, it's altered the dye. It's one of hazards of the trade I'm afraid and only option is replacing the item of clothing if it looks too bad.

Old tea towels as rags for wiping. All my polo shirts are stained, especially left shoulder/sleeve.
When they get bad, then bin and order more from sports direct. Dirt cheap and tax deductible.

Hi

Get pink clothes :)

Mine are all covered in silicone as well so you can't see the pink.

That and solder splashes

It’s like bleach so not really a stain. People use too much of the stuff on pipe and it ends up everywhere. All you need is a thin application and that should do it and in event of a dry joint simply dip your solder into it and apply.

If you lather your pipe and fittings with it chances are you get it on your hands and then clothes and even worse if you take a leak and get it on your winkie. Not to mention rotting your copper and getting leaks.
