Thanks all for your replies. I have settled for a lesser-of-two evils option.

I cut the copper coming from the stack elbow back a bit further, and have glued (desperate times) a solvent weld elbow onto the copper using a large quantity of quick setting glue. The rest I have managed to get level enough using fittings. I will wait for the glue to dry and thoroughly test. If the one potentially weak point works then I'm out of trouble, if not it'll be back to the drawing board.

Hi they used to say as a last resort you could discharge the D2 pipework at high level and turn it back to the wall. Similar to a combi boiler. I have just looked back through the regs this seems to have changed and it isn't mentioned now. It now mentions if at high level it should be discharged...

The fittings below are for a mixer bar attached to a self contained shower. i.e not a wall. The attaching screws have snapped. I could get two new brackets, dismantle that existing one and start again or I could try and re attach via those screws, removing the broken ones from the plate and wall...

Hi, I seemed to have a blockage in kitchen sink. A plumber came and cleared all the pipework that is visible inside my home (there was debris and pebbles!) We saw that the pipe that takes water down the gutter was visibly full to the top. He said he will return with a coil to push through...
