Isn't the unextended bit supposed to stay at the bottom so they don't become top heavy. Also, there's more weight to crush your fingers as you collapse them.

I always thought you pulled from top rung also, otherwise you would not be able to reach the top rungs to extend lol!

Where's the dust sheet also? ;p
 
Not with these ones, if you are fully extending then yes, from the top, but for partial you extend from base up, otherwise you'd never be able to climb up them (d'oh!).
As to collapsing them, these bad boys close slowly and softly, with a satisfying pshhhhh
Dust sheet......was just popping up but yes, guilty as charged yer honour.....
