  1. Hi Shaun,
no, the port valve stays in the same position, no movement,

boiler fired up and hot water working all ok, but the central heating will not fire up, its as if no signal or feed there.

Hi Shaun
I have just rewired as instructed, central heating working all ok, no concerns, but the hot water will not fire up, when I put the central heating on the valve go to the right and stays there even if I try and fire up the hot water, the only way I can get the valve to move back is if I disconnect the white wire. picture attached to the current wiring

central heating great, thanks for the quick reply, will let you know.

Hi, Later this year I am going away for a 2 week holiday and as the weather will be warm there is no need for the heating to be on and arguably no need for me to needlessly heat hot water. My intention was to turn the boiler off along with the mains water when going away. Now, I have heard...

Hi. I need a new toilet supply line but don’t know the size type of the fitting at the shut off valve. It is not 3/8 compression. It is a plastic nut about the same size as the one going into the cistern but has a different thread. Attached is a photo. Can you advise. Thanks.
