Ok so iam pricing for x2 full oil heating installs, whoop :)

The properties have never had central heating, so acording to part L they are classed as a ''new system'' and have to comply with part L
Heat losses for these both these properties are sub 15kw so nice small boilers

Surely to hell it's not cost effective to install two heating zones on such small properties?

How exactly does a new install in an existing property have to comply?

If floor area less than 150m sq then 1 zone will do (from memory)
Or if a conservatory is on that will need to be zoned

As said above 150msq total floor area or less one zone anything more and its 2 zones
Or if theres a conservatory or garage with rad in it

Thanks guys anyone know where I can have a peak at L1? Perhaps the has been an amendment because all I can see is x2 heat zones required whether it's over or under 150m2

Further to that - you have an old version. The ammended version removed that rediculous condition...

No & neither do I, but if you had sat in on one of my Part L's you would at least have known about the compliance guide & what was required for your two installs plus a hell of a lot more.

It is not (or shouldn't be) all about the ticket at the end of the day.

By Law you can't even install a cylinder let alone a boiler without having the Part L, just a shame it is never enforced :bigcry:.
