Went to a remedial & the home owner complained that the screen swung over the bath & never sat on the edge.. Simple task of lowering the screen. Unfortunately the previous installer kindly snapped the head off the screw and siliconed the chrome screw cap on so know one was none the wiser. Any ideas of what I could do to get this screw out?

Drill it out, put the cap back on and drill a different hole higher up, get some chrome caps from merchant for new screw

you will have a battle drilling that out, I would be tempted to file it down as much as poss, then with a couple of thin plastic wedges push them in 1 inch above and 1 below inbetween the wall channel and the screen frame, the frame should be flexible enough to pull the screen out over the screw. Then just file it down and put a new screw in somewhere else.

Why would it be a battle ? Soft enough to shear off soft enough to drill, using a file more likely to scratch the chrome will bracket

nah cover the frame with gaffa tape or something.
I had one last year I got out stretching the frame over the screw (each to his own eh)

No it's a good idea fella! one I'll be trying next time

Or get a hacksaw blade in and cut between frame and box section. Or a multi tool!
