Unsure what to do here , my testo has gone ping now so in the market for an upgrade .

Are the TP1 'S any good or complete waste of money?

Take a look at the Kane 455 or 457, they used to do fixed price servicing at £85 a year for 5 years.

I've always used Testo units never had any problems (Had 2) nothing wrong with first one just bought an up grade.

I've had a Kane 455 for the last 4 years and this year when calibrating the unit they replaced the screen that was scratched for no extra cost. Very happy with service and fixed pricing plus the unit is so easy to use.

Where do you send it for it's calibration, direct to Kane?

I just drop it at my local merchants BHS and they send it off and loan you a unit while it is away, normally done in a week.
