Hello all,

My partner and I have recently moved into a rented property that runs off LPG.

We had to install a new 47KG flogas cylinder just over a week ago at a cost of just under £100. We use it to heat the house and our hot water.

But after only 10 days it's run out. We haven't had the heating/water on all day, only a couple of hours in the morning and a couple of hours in the evening.

Is this normal? Are we just going to have to face facts that this is an expensive way to heat our house?

I know our boiler does have a "pre-heat" function. Does leaving this on make the gas run out quicker?

I coule really do with some advice!

PLEASE HELP!

Thanks in advance.

10 days is about right, I get thru 1 in a week on my house! £100 sounds expensive, ring Calor and ask them for a price, they charge me £55 per bottle delivered.

LPG is the most expensive fuel on the market. £55 a ottle is about right. You can buy cheaper by having a bulk tank. You can hire them from Calor if you have the room to install one.
